Back in 2002 when I came to know Jesus, my whole life was changed. Anyone that knew me before then must have seen the changes since then…I know I sure have. Sure, there are a lot of things that I no longer do, and a lot of new things that I began to do…but mostly it was the internal changes that took place, a complete change of heart.

Its so easy to learn new things, and to learn and study the Bible, memorizing as many scriptures as your mind will allow. But the thing is, no amount of head knowledge makes a person a Christian. It has to be a complete change of heart, willing to be humble enough to admit we are wrong and to repent…giving Jesus first place in our lives..

The Bible says that it is by GRACE alone that we are saved. That means that God saves because He wants to, not because we did anything to earn it. He doesn’t wait till someone has gone to church a certain amount of times. He doesn’t wait till we know all we can know about the Bible. He only waits for us to give up our lives for Him. We can do nothing to earn our way into Heaven. Far too many folks believe that if you go to church, and read the bible and are baptized….you are going to Heaven. They think that as long as they do SOME good, God will have mercy on them and let them into His Kingdom. They believe that God is too loving to ever send them to hell….because they didn’t do very many REALLY bad things in their life. The thing that they fail to see is that God is such a Holy God that He CAN NOT LOOK ON SIN, and there is a price that must be paid for sin. If a person chooses to pay that price themselves…it means an eternity of Hell for them. But it is so unnecessary! Why pay the price for something that has already been freely paid in full? When Jesus Christ gave up His life on the Cross at Calvary, He paid the penalty for our sins in full. No more payment is needed…but we have to accept that. Unless we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and trust Him fully to be our Savior, our precious Redeemer…we are totally lost and on the pathway to the lake of fire. But who ever believes…with their heart…and accepts Jesus to be the one who will pay the price for our own sins, will never have to face that awful place that was made for satan and his demons, but instead will spend an eternity in a place that is so wonderful that our minds can not even begin to imagine, and that place will be with Jesus…the one who died for all.

It is time to make a choice. There is no longer any time to wait. Look around at what is going on in the world today. If you just watch the news, and compare it to what Jesus says in the Bible about the end times…it is crystal clear that we are living in those times. If you are one who laughs when you hear anyone talk about the end, like its never going to happen…well think about this. Wouldn’t you rather be sure? I mean, its easy to say that folks have been saying the end is near for many many years, but what if this day is the last day? What if its tomorrow? Do you really want to take the chance? The Bible says that “TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION”. This is such an important scripture! If Jesus Christ was to come back this moment, its vital to have made your decision. If you choose not to make a choice, that is still denying Christ. Don’t wait. You may not be here in an year, or a month, or even an hour. Choose now…who will you serve? If we are not serving Christ…we are serving satan. Why not choose the one who loves you? Jesus loves you so much. Satan is a liar and deceiver and only wants to destroy you. You see, the devil already knows that he is defeated. But what he is trying to do is to get as many souls as he can to follow him so that they will be suffering in hell forever too. Don’t follow him to that awful place. This life is just a short while, and then its gone. Eternity is forever. Where do you want to spend your eternity?

When we are born into this world, our souls are DEAD in our sins. Yes, we are born a sinner. The only thing that can change that sinner into a saint, is the wonderful Grace of God. When we turn our hearts over to Him, our souls are BORN AGAIN and become alive to Christ. That is the only way we can ever receive the inheritance that God is offering to His Children.

No one can make the choice for you. You cant do it for anyone else. Each man has to answer for himself on that day. What will you say? What will a Holy God say to you? Will you hear the words “Well done, my good and faithful servant”? Or will you be among the lost who hear the words “depart from me, I never knew you”?

Jesus is calling to you right now. He is calling for you to open up your heart and let Him in. He wants you to be saved, and to be certain of an eternity in Heaven with Him. He is the only hope that we have. Wont you make your choice now? If you finish reading this letter and then just go on your way doing your own thing again, you are putting Jesus off, and still choosing to follow satan. Don’t take such a dangerous chance. Choose today, choose now.
