He Holds Our Future
The baby is tiny and helpless
As the mommy sadly looks on
Prematurely entering this cold world
Needing machines to help him hang on
Day after day in the hospital
His body so tiny and new
Machines acting as his life source
Doctors didnt know what to do
His family loves him so dearly
And is daily there by his side
Praying for Jesus to help him
And to dry the tears in their eyes
The doctors said they should give up
That he would never survive on this earth
But God has a plan that is unknown
That existed before Daniels birth
Years passed and the child kept thriving
Bringing his family such love and joy
even through many painful trials
They were blessed with the life of this boy.
This year he becomes a graduate
His doctors were wrong after all
He has struggled so hard but he made it
Daniel brings joy to us all
Thank you Lord, for the gift you have given
The life of this precious young man
We know that you are our life source
And our future is safe in your hands.
